Seller listing fees
Individual sellers pay a one-time listing fee based on the item's asking price:
- 2% for items priced under KSh 5,000
- 1% for items priced KSh 5,000 to KSh 99,999
- 0.75% for items priced KSh 100,000 and above
There is no per-item cap and no block cap. The fee is calculated as a straight percentage of the asking price.
Listing fees are non-refundable. Once a listing fee is paid and the listing is published, the fee will not be returned — including if the item does not sell, the listing is removed by the seller, or the seller account is closed. Fees for drafts, failed payments, and rejected submissions are not charged and do not consume a listing position.
Consumer purchases
Tafuta verifies in-store purchases and issues Tafuta Points — it does not sell goods or process payments for goods. Refunds, returns, or exchanges for products or services are handled directly between you and the merchant, under the merchant's own return policy. Tafuta is not responsible for merchant refunds.
Tafuta Points
Tafuta Points are a promotional loyalty reward with no cash value. Points are not currency, are non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for cash. Points expire 180 days after they are earned. Expired points are forfeited and cannot be reinstated.
